Deacon Greashon Harkless

Deacon Harkless was a member of the Senior Choir, Trustee Board, Men Club, Men Choir, and the Deacons Ministry. He was well-known for singing "Sending Up My Timber" and his powerful prayers.
Mrs. Ella Mae Bacote McAllister
October 10, 1918- February 27, 2016
Sister McAlister will easily be regarded as the "Mother of Mt. Carmel". She raised three generations of her children and lived to see the fourth generation. She was well known as being an outstanding cook and for her love of fishing. She was also a member of the Gospel Choir, the Willing Workers, the Pastor's Aide Club, and the Missionary Society.
Bruce Thompson, Sr.
March 14, 1952-March 17, 2016
Mr. Thompson was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and was known for his love of his wife, children, grandchildren, and nice cars.

Sister Annie Lee Faison

Sister Faison was a member of the Gospel Choir and the Willing Workers. She was well known for baking delicous cakes and biscuits.
Reverend Eaddy was the Pastor of Mount Carmel Baptist Church for 50 years. Three generations of members were born under his pastoral leadership. Reverend Eaddy was well known throughout the Pee Dee area and was one of the first African-American police officers in the Florence, SC area. Pastor Eaddy was especially known for his uplifting and soul stirring sermons and telling everyone that he lives on "Thank You Street". Mrs. Bacote was a beloved member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and was known for cooking very delicious food for different occasions at the church. She cooked food at church with her sisters, the "Brown Girls", and it was always a good meal.
